What is LockinTown?

LockinTown is a free virtual study room where you study, work, read or meditate beside other people in cozy live 3D rooms. Pick a room, set a goal, start a focus timer, and see others focusing with you. No camera or microphone, ever.

Is LockinTown free?

Yes. You can join, pick a room and focus with other people for free, with no time limit. LockinTown Pro is an optional upgrade with extras.

Do I need a camera or microphone?

No. LockinTown never uses your camera or microphone. In a room you show up as your own character, and you can chat with text.

What can I do in LockinTown?

Study, work, read or meditate. Choose a cozy 3D room, set a goal, start a focus timer, and see other people focusing in the same room. Focus a little each day to keep your streak, and dress your character your way.

Is LockinTown safe?

You can report any person, message or server, and block anyone, from their player card. Nobody sees or hears you, because there is no camera or microphone.

Is there a phone app?

Not yet. LockinTown runs in your web browser, on a computer or a phone. iPhone and Android apps are planned, and you can join the waitlist on the site to get one email the day they are live.

What is LockinTown Pro?

Pro is an optional upgrade: every place unlocked, detailed focus stats and a gold Pro badge in rooms. You can start with a 7-day free trial and cancel any time.
